Outpost 32 4×4 Sneak Peek

The interest in our wanderBOX Outpost 35 4×4 has truly been astounding. Beginning with our launch at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff this May, continuing through OE Mountain West in Loveland, CO August 26-29 where we had over 1,000 attendees tour our demo unit, it’s clear that people appreciate wanderBOX bringing the comforts of home to off-grid, off-pavement living. Our LIVE. WORK. PLAY. ANYWHERE. motto resonates, whether you’re a couple looking to work remotely or a family looking to take extended trips to the Great Outdoors!

What About a Shorter wanderBOX?

One comment we’ve heard again and again is: “Do you make a shorter unit?” Well…drum roll please…YES WE DO! We’re very close to officially announcing the availability of a three-foot shorter wanderBOX, the Outpost 32 4×4; but in the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming.

Same Overall Design — But More Limber

The Outpost 32 4×4 keeps the same overall design goal as the Outpost 35 4×4, to be able to get off-pavement to lots of cool BLM land or primitive campsites, just in a slightly shorter unit. The 32’s wheelbase is 227″ versus the 260″ of the Outpost 35, and as you’d guess by its name, is three feet shorter in length. Both floorplans let you live, work and play in comfort, and stay connected with Starlink satellite internet.

Because the overall length and wheelbase are both shorter, we’re able to make both the departure angle and breakover angles greater, so you can get more places. We’re still dialing in the final specs but expect to be able to cross small streams and get up and down bigger hills with the Outpost 32 4×4.

Many of the Amenities of the Outpost 35 are Retained

The Outpost 32 retains the many luxe amenities of the 35, including a double sink, induction cooktop, trash compactor and combination washer/dryer. The bathroom of the 32 is still huge like the 35, and there’s tons of storage inside and outside the unit so you can take everything you need with you.

The floorplan of the Outpost 32 is extremely functional. The main difference of the Outpost 32 compared to the Outpost 35 is that we’ve removed the front den area (there’s still two-person seating with 3-point seatbelts up front) and instead of the king bed that converts into a work desk in the rear, it has a large entertainment/dining/work area that converts to a full-size bed.

The rear compartment of the Outpost 32 has three large windows for panoramic views all around. There’s a massive amount of storage in the cabinets above the entertain/dine/work area and the advanced HVAC system combined with the very insulated shell design keeps the entire cabin cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
