We are technology industry and lean manufacturing veterans applying 40 years of product innovation & design, engineering, production and operations management to the live/work-remote challenge. We’re also lifelong campers. The team has owned every available style of RV and camper, an education spanning decades that has taught the Wanderbox team both the micro and macro lessons on how to finesse an expedition adventure camper for the best off-grid mobile living.

OUR FACILITIES
Wanderbox is headquartered is in Mead Colorado off I-25, 30-minutes from Denver and Denver International Airport. We hand build every Wanderbox in Mead in our14,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Our offices are onsite, keeping our operations centralized and nimble, and ensuring our deliveries are on time and to spec. We love visitors–by appointment. Mike Barnwell
CEO/Sales
Mike spent almost 40 years as a Technology industry executive in various sales and product leadership roles and has started multiple successful companies.Mike’s passion for campers goes back many, many years. Campers he’s built or modified include two Quigley 4×4-based campervans, a camper made from a former 4×4 ambulance, Class B & B+ RVs, a 4×4 ‘Super-C’ RV, a truck (slide-in) camper, and an F-550-based expedition vehicle. He’s an avid camper, hiker, mountain biker, climber, fisherman, river rafter and nature lover, and typically goes on extended camping trips 6 to 10 times a year

Chris Kukshtel
Marketing
With over 30 years of experience in marketing and brand strategy, Chris brings a creative and analytical approach to launching amazing products into consumer markets. His experience spans popular brands, including Dolby, Mattel, and Creative Labs, where he owned the complete go-to-market strategy. Chris takes any opportunity to get outside. Growing up in the South, he often went camping in the backwoods with family and friends, exploring the foothills of the Appalachians. Today, he wanders the hills of Sonoma and Mendocino County in search of the perfect vista.

Mike Bristol
Operations
Mike has 30+ years in the enterprise software business with a career spanning sales, consulting, and product leadership roles. He has also started two field service businesses that have leveraged his mechanical expertise in boats, cars and construction. His experience with campers started with a Coleman pop-up and evolved to building early Wanderbox prototypes with his longtime friend Mike Barnwell. Mike is an avid outdoor enthusiast where he has paired his passion for camping with hiking, biking, climbing, dirt biking, boating, wakeboarding, and scuba

Jerry Meyers
Manufacturing
Jerry has managed operations for some of the world’s top technology and
manufacturing companies and has a broad array of engineering, mechanical and management skills. He’s certified in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing along with many other professional designations. Jerry’s love of the outdoors includes hiking, camping, and riding his dirt bikes. He plays and coaches softball in Boulder where he lives, and travels internationally regularly.

Nathan Mercier
Design
Nathan Mercier is an experienced Mechanical Engineer and expert CAD designer who focuses on making wanderBOX designs innovative, usable, comfortable and durable. His experiences in the van life industry along with being an avid outdoorsmen with a list of hobbies that includes backcountry snowboarding, hunting, fishing, rock climbing and more allows for extra insight to designing products that customers will love.
